Bayshore’s Specialty Rx Infusion Clinics Achieve Accreditation from Accreditation Canada
TORONTO, ON (SEPTEMBER 30, 2024) — Bayshore HealthCare (Bayshore) is proud to announce its Specialty Rx infusion clinics have received accreditation from Accreditation Canada. Bayshore clinics received accreditation in multiple areas, including Oncology, Medication Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Leadership, and Ambulatory Care, encompassing over 90 infusion clinics across the country.
Accreditation Canada is an independent, non-profit organization that accredits healthcare and social services organizations in Canada and around the world. Its comprehensive accreditation programs foster ongoing quality improvement through evidence-based standards and a rigorous external peer review. Accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care, Accreditation Canada has been helping organizations improve healthcare quality and patient safety for more than 55 years.
Professionals from Accreditation Canada made site visits to engage with Bayshore’s team members, volunteers, patients, and their families for a better understanding of specialty infusion care processes. The evaluation covered Bayshore’s adherence to national standards of excellence, the implementation of necessary safety procedures to minimize harm, and thorough evaluations through questionnaires regarding the workplace, culture of patient safety, governance operations, and client experiences.
