Bayshore Specialty Rx pharmacies now operating in all provinces

With the recent opening of its pharmacy in Charlottetown, P.E.I., Bayshore Specialty Rx is now operating in all 10 provinces. “It’s a great milestone,” says Karl Frank, Divisional Director. “Having this network of pharmacies helps us manage our business on a national basis. Everything flows from our central wholesale location in Markham, Ontario, to our pharmacies.”

The pharmacist at each location coordinates services and provides support to Area Directors and nurses at local Bayshore branches. “We run national programs through the pharmacies, but we also look to the Pharmacy Managers to drive local opportunities, such as physician relationships, hospital relationships and other opportunities to expand our offerings,” says Frank.

Erica Craig is the Pharmacy Manager at the new location in Charlottetown. She previously worked at Kingston General Hospital and the Cancer Centre of South-eastern Ontario, and is excited to work in specialty pharmacy. “It’s a relatively new and rapidly expanding area of health care,” says Craig.

The expanded pharmacy network opens up many new possibilities for Bayshore Specialty Rx, says Frank. “We’re excited about where we can take this, with nurses and pharmacists working collaboratively and growing business in each province.”
