Job Summary:

The PeopleSoft Support Team is engaged in development, implementation and upgrades of new PeopleSoft modules, and the on-going daily maintenance of Bayshore’s PeopleSoft system. The PeopleSoft Technical Analyst works directly with stakeholders to support PeopleSoft systems and modules - specifically HCM, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Time & Labor, GL, AP, AR, Billing, Employee Expenses, and others as become required. The PeopleSoft Technical Analyst’s role is to design, code, test, and analyze PeopleSoft menus, pages, components, records, tables, and custom modifications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. As part of the PeopleSoft Support Team, this position serves as a technical resource for PeopleSoft development projects and support, working closely with functional analysts, business owners, and end users.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Design, develop & deliver high quality software solutions within the PeopleSoft(PS) HCM portfolio
•Develop detailed technical design specifications for application modifications and/or customizations
•Provide solution options and sizing estimates to application enhancements requests
•Research and recommend vendor delivered solutions and patches
•Analyze, troubleshoot and remediate production related issues
•Interface with functional resources and users to design, code and test solutions for complex business requirements or problems.
•Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects
•Research and document requirements of software users
•Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades
•Consistently write, translate, and code PS programs and applications according to specifications
•Run and monitor PS performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
•Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
•Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines
•Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of all related applications
•Remove code script from production environments and applications
•Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with PS products or other systems
•Support daily/weekly/period processes, transactions, mass changes, data entry, ad hoc reports, etc.
•Apply a continuous improvement approach to all work processes
•Other duties as requested
 

Experience:

•Minimum of PeopleSoft experience must include a minimum of three years of working experience in PeopleSoft systems, programming with SQR, SQL Server, PS Query, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, App Designer, Crystal, and nVision
•Experience with PeopleSoft version 9.0 or higher preferred
•PeopleSoft certifications desirable
•Experience packaging up projects, and migrating to and from different PeopleSoft environments;
•Experience creating and editing workflows strongly desirable;
•Demonstrated strong understanding and application of cross-functional project management principles
•Ability to analyze processing problems, develop and evaluate alternatives
•Ability to develop work plans and set target dates
•Skilled at communicating technical concepts on problem solutions to users in an effective manner
•Skilled at utilizing Microsoft Office productivity tools: Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint.
•Reliable, with excellent time management skills
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•Process oriented, able to meet specific deadlines
•Excellent verbal/written communication skills
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
•Must be able to understand business processes quickly
•The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and peers
•Project management experience desired
 

Education:

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, and/or five years of full-time, increasingly responsible experience in technical systems analysis and programming
 

Other Information:

•Must be time flexible and willing to put in extra time when required by deadlines or system problems.
•Sitting for extended periods of time.
•Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and peripherals.
•Able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
•Some travel may be required for the purpose of off-site installations and configuration.
